Issue

We all know someone who is just a walking gluten of self-inflicted pain. They are always crying about things not going right in their lives. They are the people who wonder why they can’t catch a break in their lives. As you sit back and listen to this person’s self-inflicted foolishness, you’re thinking and screaming in your mind “It’s you!!” You just want to grab and shake them into reality.

What is wrong with people? Why can’t they seem to get over that one obstacle in their lives that would get them to their ultimate goal, themselves. People are always getting in their own way. Yet they wonder why they can’t seem to get over the humps that life provides for everyone.

Don’t get me wrong. Everyone has been through rough patches and made critical mistakes in their lives. But when you keep going through the same rough patches and critical mistakes over and over again, when do you stop and look at the catalyst of the issue?

Take a step back and look at the whole picture. Do you wonder why you’re always passed up for a big promotion on your job, yet you’re the most qualified? Do you wonder why you can’t seem to find that special love of your life, yet you give out a whores vibe? Not everyone has an issue with you. Slow the word issue down. You may have just found the culprit of your problems. Maybe it’s you?

  1. Yes sir…you hit the nail on the head with this one. This reminds me of a teaching I heard T.D. Jakes give a few years ago. He said, ” Have you ever stop to think that maybe there is something wrong with your nutty self?!” It’s so very true. We have heard it said before, evertone cannot be wrong! I give myself monthly check-ups…no, not a medical form of check-up, but one where I evaluate myself in areas. Especially areas where I’m not seeing growth, or someone is constantly irking me. Check-UP before I have an issue!
