SO…The Week In Review

What a week it has been! My 3 top stories of the week were

The Pres. affirmed this week that he believed that same-sex couples should have the right to be married. Which raised the ire of one of this country’s most renowned intellectuals…

Bristol Palin! She tried to go ‘gangsta’ on the President and his 2 girls Sasha and Malia with these pearls of wisdom:

So let me get this straight – it’s a problem if my mom listened too much to my dad, but it’s a heroic act if the President made a massive change in a policy position that could affect the entire nation after consulting with his teenage daughters?

While it’s great to listen to your kids’ ideas, there’s also a time when dads simply need to be dads.  In this case, it would’ve been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her friends parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage.  Or that – as great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home.  Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.

In this situation, it was the other way around.  I guess we can be glad that Malia and Sasha aren’t younger, or perhaps today’s press conference might have been about appointing Dora the Explorer as Attorney General because of her success in stopping Swiper the Fox.

Sometimes dads should lead their family in the right ways of thinking.  In this case, it would’ve been nice if the President would’ve been an actual leader and helped shape their thoughts instead of merely reflecting what many teenagers think after one too many episodes of Glee.

Way to break it down Rhodes Scholar! Your intellect is beyond  any of our reasoning and thinking! But what would I not expect from an offspring of

Ma Sarah Palin! Your thoughts and actions are so innovating and ahead of the times! Things like

screaming abstinence to teenagers while you were preggers with this Mensa members baby

and how you did deep thought analysis and came up with the root of the problem to all teenagers across of America: The TV show Glee! Memo to Bris: Trying to go all ‘gangsta’ on a pre-teen and a teen is not fresh. You and Palin clique are longer relevent, so stop trying to be. Go back to Alaska and hibernate, shoot caribou or whatever it is you do in that frozen tundra.

And speaking of intellect

Nit Mitt takes credit for the auto bailout:

My own view, by the way, was that the auto companies needed to go through bankruptcy before government help. And frankly, that’s finally what the president did. He finally took them through bankruptcy. That was the right course I argued for from the very beginning. It was the UAW and the president that delayed the idea of bankruptcy. I pushed the idea of a managed bankruptcy and finally when that was done, and help was given, the companies got back on their feet. So I’ll take a lot of credit for the fact that this industry’s come back.”

BWHAHAHA!!! Are you serious, Nit Mitt! What are your staffers giving you to smoke on your campaign runs because it’s some good stuff. Don’t you remember this article in 2008

The one YOU wrote! Don’t you remember saying this

Of course not! Because you can’t commit to ANYTHING!!! Memo to America: If you think it’s bad now, if this guy is voted into The Office, it’s gonna be a heck of a lot worse. We would have a leader who doesn’t know how to lead. He just know how to fire people. Just ask him!

And…

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day!! A day when all the family pile up in the rig to go out to eat or go to mom’s shack to enjoy a home cooked meal. This day is just one day and it’s not still not enough to thank all the hard-working moms out there who sacrifice, love, and protect their children. And so I lay to rest one of my friends, Tyffany Cortez,  to rest today

Tyffany Cortez

It reminds me just how lucky I am to still have my mom because some families don’t. Mother’s day just shouldn’t be one day. It should be every day you’re fortunate to have your mother. So to all the moms out there in the blogosphere and beyond, I wish to you not only a Happy, Happy, Happy Mother’s Day, I wish to you a Happy, Happy, Happy Mother’s Life!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!
